U Vrgorcu, na Matokitu…

I mala grupa članova HPD Bilogore priključila se obilježavanju Dana hrvatskih planinara, najvažnije godišnje manifestacije HPS-a koja se prošlog vikenda, od 27.-29. svibnja 2022., održala u Vrgorcu.

U pitoresknom gradiću (oko 6000 stanovnika) podno Vrgorskog gorja, rodnom mjestu velikog Tina Ujevića, okupilo se preko 800 planinara iz 80-ak društava iz Hrvatske i inozemstva a domaćin, HPD Vrgorac je u suradnji s Gradom i Turističkom zajednicom pripremio bogat kulturno umjetnički te glazbeni program, planinarsku alku.. Sve se inače događalo u središnjem parku (otvorenje, zabava, zatvaranje susreta) koji je za ovu priliku pretvoren u spavaonicu punu šatora! Planinarima je bilo ponuđeno više staza za hodanje (Vrgorsko gorje, Drveničke stine) a Bjelovarčani su prvi dan, u subotu, izabrali posebnu rutu.

– Spustili smo kombijem se do Dubrovnika, pa Cavtata i sela Kuna Konavoska te otud krenuli na Sniježnicu, odnosno vrh Sv. Ilija (1234 m). Fantastično, naporno, izazovno, no vrijedilo je, priča jedan od sudionika pohoda Ivan Želipski Čupo. Vratili smo se u Vrgorac taman na službeno otvorenje manifestacije. I u nedjelju Bjelovarčani su nastojali izbjeći gužvu. Hodalo se iznad Vrgorca, na Matokit.

– Glavnina planinara krenula je iz središta grada a mi smo se odvezli do sela Ravča i otud se počeli penjati prema vrhu Sv.Rok (1062 m). Premda je uspon bio malo blaži trebalo nam je oko tri sata do vrha, kaže Dalibor Babić, još jedan od sedmorice Bilogoraca koji su se otisnuli put Vrgorca.

Po povratku službeno zatvaranje, podjela zahvalnica i povratak. I to kakav! Jer bilo je vremena i za kratki odmor u Brelima, osvježenje i uživanje u moru, tako da je brzo zaboravljeno i ovih preko 1500 prijeđenih kilometara, planinarenje, napor, i sve ostalo.
