Sjeverna Makedonija – gdje vječno sunce sja

Dvoje planinara predstavljalo je HPD „Bilogoru“ na planinaranju po Korabu i Šar planini, najvišim planinama Sjeverne Makedonije (nakon Triglava najviše planine bivše države).

Nema boljeg načina za proslavu 95. obljetnice planinarstva u Bjelovaru od dobrog planinarenja. Bilogorski planinari iskoristili su lipanjske blagdane i praznike za izlete po planinama BiH, Grčke i Sjeverne Makedonije. Najveći dio obišao je bosanske planine : Bitovnju, Pogorelicu, Lopatu i Inač, drugi dio otišao je u Grčku dok je dvoje (Dijana i Željko) predstavljalo HPD „Bilogoru“ na planinaranju po Korabu i Šar planini, najvišim planinama Sjeverne Makedonije (nakon Triglava najviše planine bivše države) .

Prvi planinarski cilj bio je Titov vrh na atraktivnoj Šar planini, najvećoj makedonskoj planini, dužine 80 km i oko 30 km širine. Ime je dobila po svom obilježju – to je šarena planina s cvijećem u punom cvatu. Karekteriziraju je prostrani pašnjaci, potoci i rijeke, te brojni vrhovi i doline. Planinarenje od poznatog skijaškog centra Popova Šapka do Titovog vrha (2747 m) i Malog Turčina (2702 m) trajalo je 10 sati.

Na planini Korab posjetili smo vrh Golem Korab (visok 2764 m), najviši vrh Sjeverne Makedonije koji se nalazi na granici s Albanijom. Planina Korab proteže se u dužini 40 kilometara, a dio je nacionalnog parka Mavrovo. Na Korabu se stanovništvo tradicionalno bavi stočarstvom jer se ovaj kraj smatra jednim od največih područja pašnjaka u Europi.

S ovog planinarenja u posebnom sjećanju će nam ostati poluudobna vožnja kamionom do policijske (granične) postaje (ne kaže se uzalud „bolje se prosjački voziti nego gospodski hodati“). Od postaje koja je početna točka uspona na vrh se stiže za pet sati. Pred sam vrh trebalo je proći i nekoliko zasnježenih dijelova.

Kako je ovo koncepcijski bio planinarsko turistički izlet obišlo se još dosta zanimljivih lokacija. U Skopju smo prošetali Starom čaršijom i Trgom Makedonije, posjetili muzej Majke Terezije te ručali tradicionalna makededonska jela s puno povrća. U Tetovu nas je oduševila Šarena džamija ali i rastužio izgled gradića po kojem se vidi težak život stanovnika.

Koliko je bogatstvo i snaga vode uvjerili smo se na Vrutoku, izvoru rijeke Vardara ali i u Vevčanima, jakim izvorima ispod planine Jablanice. Kakav bi to posjet Sjevernoj Makedoniji bio bez obilaska Ohrida („Makedonskog Bleda“) i Bitole („Bitola moj roden kraj …..). Za kraj je ostao posjet vinariji Tikveš u Kavadarcima gdje smo se dobro opskrbili kvalitetnim vinom (Mastiku smo nabavili još ranije).

Šest dana je premalo za upoznati ovu prekrasnu zemlju s gostoljubivim i blagim ljudima ali je ovo bio dobar početak da se zaljubimo u nju te je ponovo posjetimo u skoro vrijeme jer nas čekaju još mnoge prekrasne makedonske planine. Dado Topić je pjevao:
