Uskoro: Park prirode Dinara!

Hrvatska ima osam nacionalnih parkova – Plitvička jezera, Paklenica, Krka, Mljet, Sjeverni Velebit, Kornati, Brijuni, Risnjak, te 11 parkova prirode: Kopački rit, Lonjsko polje, Vransko jezero, Biokovo, Papuk, Učka, Velebit, Žumberak, Medvednica, Lastovo, Telaščica. Ova zaštićena područja čine 12 posto kopnene površine Hrvatske, a uskoro bi se taj udio mogao povećati na 13 posto!

Već ove jeseni, kako je najavljeno, u Saboru RH trebao bi biti proglašen i 12. zaštićeni objekt – Park prirode Dinara! Riječ je, planinari to i te kako dobro znaju, o planinskom masivu dugom oko 20 km, širokom 10-ak km, površine oko 62.000 ha, dijelu europskog vapnenačkog planinskog lanca, području bogate bioraznolikosti, dokazanih, ali još i neistraženih, divljih prirodnih ljepota, bogatom florom, a tek neobičnom faunom: vuk, lisica, čagalj, medvjed, ris..! Brojne su i još neistražene špilje sa svojim zaštićenim stanovnicima: velikIm šišmišom (Myotis myotis), južnim potkovnjakom (Rhinolophus euryale).. Na Dinari se od ukupno preko 5000 biljnih vrsta Hrvatske nalazi njih 1164, a 69 je endema kojih nema nigdje drugdje na svijetu! Nabrajati bi se moglo u nedogled…

Dinara je najviša hrvatska planina, Sinjal 1831 m. A planinari mogu birati kojom će stazom prema vrhu: Glavaš-Sinjal, Guge-Suho polje-Sinjal, Mirkovići-Jogurt staza… Sa šumarskog stanovišta proglašenje Dinare zaštićenim područjem donosi još veću brigu o šumskom blagu ove planine (crni bor, jela, bukva, grab, crni jasen, hrast medunac), posebno u borbi protiv požara koji su u prošlosti znali opustošiti dijelove planine.

U časopisu „Hrvatske šume“ (rujan 2020.), novinarka Helena Jakobović najavljujući proglašenje parka prirode kaže i ovo:“..Zaštita područja Dinare od posebnog je interesa za Republiku Hrvatsku radi očuvanja izvornih prirodnih vrijednosti, bogate biološke i geološke raznolikosti, divljih vrsta i endema.. Proglašenje će svakako otvoriti planinu za javnost koja će moći upoznati njenu spomenutu mističnost, ali očuvanje i dalje mora biti prioritet.”
